On August 28, 2026, at 5:30 PM, the Kaunas Photography Gallery invites you to the opening of Visvaldas Morkevičius’s exhibition “Blind Cats”
“Blind Cats” explores the increasingly blurred boundaries between entertainment, violence, and propaganda. Games, social platforms, and other digital environments today don’t just offer entertainment — they can become tools that shape our attitudes toward violence, war, and our very perception of reality. In the exhibition, Morkevičius asks what happens when a game is no longer just a game, and its consequences spill over into reality.
“Blind Cats” was created as part of the “Soft Photography” research project, carried out at the Master of Photography program of ECAL / University of Art and Design Lausanne, supported by HES-SO.
Visvaldas Morkevičius is an artist working in photography and the expanded field of photography. His work explores themes of identity, technology, and systems of power. In 2025 he completed his Master’s degree in Photography at ECAL / University of Art and Design Lausanne.
