8 and 15 July, 5 PM. Kaunas Photography Gallery (Vilniaus g. 2) invites children aged 6 – 10 and their parents to a workshop led by artist Ieva Stankutė, who is currently exhibiting her book “About the Belly Button” at Kaunas Gallery.
In her book “About the belly button”, the author subtly explores and powerfully illustrates motherhood. The artist was awarded the main prize of the year in the Book Art Competition for this book. The jury praised the book for its unseen, extraordinarily strong, sensory experience of life, and at the same time for the immense warmth captured in the book, literally and figuratively.
The workshop is adapted to the current exhibition at the gallery. During the workshop, the children will create their own personal books, which they will be able to decorate with drawings and complete with various tasks given by the author. All those who love to draw, fold, cut and glue are welcomed.
Recommended age: 6 – 10 years.
The workshop will be held in Lithuanian. Duration: 60 min.
The cost of the class is €5 per child (parents participate for free). Payment will be possible at the gallery during the session.
Number of participants – up to 10 children. Registration is required.
