
On October 4–5, at the FOTO WIEN festival event BOOK DAYS in Vienna, the Kaunas Photography Gallery presented a rich collection of Lithuanian photography publications.
The international photo book event BOOK DAYS, organized by FOTO ARSENAL WIEN and curated by Regina Maria Anzenberger, was attended by photography book lovers, collectors, publishers, booksellers, and artists from around the world.
The eleventh edition of the event was dedicated to the culture of the printed image and brought together publishers from Austria, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, Myanmar, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.
The Kaunas Photography Gallery presented exceptional publications from recent years, reflecting the diversity of Lithuanian photography, creative exploration, and international visibility. At the Kaunas Photography Gallery’s stand, photographer Mindaugas Kavaliauskas presented his latest book, A-SPOT: A Journey into the World of Plane Spotting,” and signed copies for visitors. The Lithuanian stand attracted considerable interest from both photography professionals and collectors, and the gallery’s publications were added to the libraries and collections of Austria, Hungary, and other countries.
The event also featured a BOOK TALKS program—book presentations, discussions, and meetings with renowned photographers and authors, including Robert Adams, Eric Asamoah, Gerry Badger, Máté Bartha, Kincső Bede, Alexey Brodovitch, Weronika Gęsicka, Beate Gütschow, Jan von Holleben, Alice Pallot, Viviane Sassen, and Marie Tomanova.
