Kaunas Photography Gallery is calling for exhibition ideas. Applications are welcome until January 30. The call is open to photographers, visual artists, curators, and artist groups.
Since its opening in 1979, Kaunas Photography Gallery has presented more than 600 exhibitions, introducing Kaunas residents to the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Luigi Ghirri, Martin Parr, Mari Katayama, Joan Fontcuberta, and other foreign artists. Over its long history, the gallery has become a space where different generations of Lithuanian photographers and authors have grown and presented their work.
The gallery seeks to provide the following conditions for the implementation of the exhibition idea:
Cover the costs of installing and preparing the works.
Cover the travel and accommodation costs of the project authors.
A fee will be paid to the author(s) of the exhibition.
Application requirements:
Description of the idea, proposal of visual solutions.
Reproductions of the works to be exhibited, their descriptions.
Portfolios and CVs of the artists and/or curator.
Please send all materials in a single PDF file.
Applications should be sent by email to info@kaunasgallery.lt. Applications will be accepted until January 30.
The project is supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
