Open call for exhibition ideas

Kaunas Photography Gallery announces a call for exhibition ideas for 2024/2025. Applications can be submitted until 19 February. The call is open to photographers, visual artists, curators and artist groups.

Opened in 1979, the Kaunas Photography Gallery has presented more than 600 exhibitions to date, which have given Kaunas residents the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Luigi Ghirri, Alexander Rodchenko, Mari Katayama, Joan Fontcuberta, and other foreign artists. Over the long period of its operation, the gallery has become a space where different generations of Lithuanian photographers and authors have grown up and presented their works.

The gallery seeks to provide the following conditions for the realisation of the exhibition idea:

To cover the costs of installation and preparation of the works.

To cover the costs of travel and accommodation for the authors of the project.

To cover the cost of the exhibition.

Application requirements:

A description of the idea, a proposal for visual solutions.

Reproductions of the works to be exhibited, descriptions of them.

Portfolio, CV of the artists and/or curator to be presented.
