On October 17, 7PM Kaunas Photography Gallery will host the presentation of the first issue of the photography magazine “Vaizdai”. The event is free of charge.
“Vaizdai” is a new photography magazine dedicated to introducing new photographers and their unique vision, as well as rediscovering forgotten photographers from the past.
During the presentation, you will have the opportunity to chat with the authors and purchase a limited edition publication (cash only). Severina will provide the musical accompaniment for the evening.
The first issue features a collection of artists whose works are carefully presented beyond the short-lived world of social media. By carefully selecting images and working closely with the authors and designer, “Vaizdai” creates a personal and authentic space that emphasizes the individuality of each photographer. However, despite this individuality, it unites these voices, creating a community of artists who share, inspire, and grow together, rather than fighting for a place in the art world. It is not only a magazine, but also a platform for creativity, experimentation, and new ideas that shape contemporary photography.
The first issue features photographs by Evelina Deveikaitė, Miglė Maslauskaitė, Fully Ghetto, Augustynas Sinkevič, Vismantė Ruzgaitė, Andrėja Taranda, Ieva Baltaduonytė, Dominyka Gurskaitė, Natalija Lokcikaitė, Donata Šiaudvytytė, Austėja Auškalnytė, Severina Venckutė, Mindaugas Meilutis, and Perkūnas Liutkus.
