For the second year in a row, Kaunas Photography Gallery is hosting a photography salon during the festive period. It is a festive exhibition-fair presenting the collection of Lithuanian photography, from the classic works that have shaped the country’s history to contemporary photographic experiments that transcend the traditional boundaries of the medium. The exhibition will run until 26 January 2025.
This year’s exhibition-fair features works by Romualdas Požerskis, Domicelė Tarabildienė, Vitas Lutkus, Antanas Sutkus, Rimaldas Vikšraitis, Romualdas Rakauskas, Rimantas Dichavičius, Romas Juškelis, Virgilijus Šonta, Donatas Stankevičius, Gintaras Česonis, Inga Dinga, Ramūnas Danisevičius. The fair offers not only original photographs, but also postcards and photography albums in a wide range of prices. Some of these works were presented this year at the 27th Paris Photo Fair, in the exhibition “The Forms of Things, The Forms of Skulls, Forms of Love”, curated by Sonia Voss, which took place in the Salon d’honneur of the historic Grand Palais.
The Photography Salon aims to become a focal point of photography culture, where people who create, reflect on, and enjoy photography meet alongside the artefacts of photography, from professionals, beginners, amateurs, collectors and other cultural enthusiasts.
The exhibition is free to attend.
Every photographic artefact purchased will be a significant contribution to the success of Kaunas Photography Gallery in the coming year. Let’s celebrate the holidays with light!
Kaunas Photography Gallery is sponsored by AON.
